Taufiq is also an accomplished athlete competing in Track and Field, Strongman and Highland Games. Having won Singapore's Strongest Man in the early 2000s, winning consecutive titles in the South East Asian regions since.

 

Taufiq now also competes in Singapore Masters Track & Field for the throwing events and the holds the Asia Pacific Strongman Championships Deadlift record at 370kg winning the competition consecutively in 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020.

 

Taufiq also placed 3rd on podium for the Static Monsters World Championships 2017, competes in the Highland Games Series in Scotland and is the only Asian and the 119th individual in history to be awarded a Full Lift on the Legendary Dinnie Stones in Scotland.

Taufiq also has been coaching regional strongman, powerlifting athletes from Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei and Philippines for local and international strongman competition and has coached a World Champion from Singapore at the Static Monsters World Championships 2017 and multiple podium places at the international stage.

 

Taufiq is also the Founder and Technical Director of Strongman Singapore that runs Strongman competitions in Singapore and the ASEAN region. Taufiq is also planning an exclusive stone lifting competition in Singapore. So do watch this space for more details.
